Clean Networks unites two important initiatives to combat abuse. These initiatives are the result of years of collaboration between sector organizations, businesses, government, and involved individuals. We view the fight against abuse as a shared responsibility.
The two pillars of Clean Networks:
1The Code of Conduct for Abuse Prevention; organizations that sign and implement this code receive the Clean Networks Certification. The Code of Conduct sets clear standards for combating abuse.
2 The Clean Networks Platform; a technical platform that shares information about abuse and vulnerabilities. Focused on the networks of affiliated digital infrastructure providers.
How do these initiatives work together?
The Code of Conduct for Abuse Prevention and the Clean Networks Platform reinforce each other:
- Signatories of the Code of Conduct gain access to the platform.
- The platform provides information about abuse and vulnerabilities in the networks of digital infrastructure providers who endorse the Code of Conduct.
- Providers can use this information alongside their existing sources.
- The information comes from various trusted notifiers and internet abuse researchers.
